Inspirational or not that book reminded me there were a few titles I had to pick up. Among them (old and new at the same time) there were some of which I'm going to talk about down here.
Yes, of course I've been to to see Eclipse. How would I've even dare to miss it? So, together with my Twilight saga loving friends there we were. Opinions were divided. Some were a bit disappointed and stated that the first movie is still the best one and that Eclipse wasn't as fluid as the book from one scene to another. In my opinion it was a good movie with great special effects, following the book line and trying as much as possible in 2 hours to follow its plot with flashbacks of the main characters and all. I've enjoyed the training and the battle scenes, the funny dialogues and of course Taylor Lautner. Can you blame me? Jacob is a great character: funny, warm and good looking. On my previously established scale I'll give it an 8. Up until next year, when the first part of Breaking dawn will be released, I'll have plenty of time to watch it again and see if I missed something.
Furthemore, I've also been impressed by a movie staring Jared Letto, named Mr. Nobody. Somewhere in the nearest 2092, and old man, 118 years old, the only mortal left on Earth (the others discovered the secret of immortality) calls himself Nemo Nobody (what an interesting name). When he's asked to talk about his past that's were the entire story begins. Imagine that your life is like one hit but with many possibilities, like sitting on a crossroads and wondering were to? Each choice we make means a different possible future. What if we tell a story about our life in all those different possible futures? The movie compares this with entropy, and the butterfly effect, going by the effect of each possible decision the main character makes: the possible 3 girlfriends (Anna, Elise and Jeanne), the possible adolescent life with just his father or just his mother, the multiple universes story. I'm telling you, this is a very interesting movie to watch. I'll summarise it like this: "what if?!?" I'm gonna give it a 9.

I've finally managed to see No country for old man and that was a big surprise to see the difference between Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh and the very charming Javier Bardem in Vicky Cristina Barcelona as Juan Antonio. The Coen brothers print is noticeable by the decors, the certain epoque feeling, the suburban 70s, the dialogues. The movie is more atrocious than I thought and it ends a bit abrupt but it has something special, I haven't figure it out what exactly. It didn't impressed me as much as Inglourious Basterds but it deserves to be seen. It goes for a 7,4.

Next, there's been Dear John announced to be the second movie after Avatar to shutter the theaters. Made after a novel written by Nicholas Sparks (the author of The Notebook) the film tells the story of two ordinary people, two ordinary he and she. They met, they fall in love but he has to leave because he's a military. John is on leave in his hometown and unexpectedly falls in love with Savannah, a college student. Due to the 9/11 attack John has to re-sign and so the couple problems appear. They write to each other frequently but one day Savannah stops writing. What happened next? You'll have to discover all by yourself. Some might consider it a long boring movie, some might think that's too romantic so is a movie for girls, but I think is best to see it with your dear one. (a 6.7)
And one more interesting title: The house of sand and fog with Jennifer Connelly and Ben Kingsley. If you ever wondered how bad things can get, this movie is a possible answer. I consider it to be a very good movie with a wise plot, giving a serious theme to think about. I know, is a little bit an old movie by now (2003) but it's still interesting. Kathy, recently separated from her husband is being evicted from her own house by the authorities due to some judiciary error. She is suddenly homeless and finds out that her house was wrongly repossessed and auctioned. Among all this problems the sheriff's deputy Lester tries to help her and falls in love with her: that brings her more problems than she already had. Her house has been sold to an emigrant Iranian and his family and all her efforts to get it back seemed doomed. And when she decides that was enough and tries to end up her life, the Iranian that bought her house finds her and saves her. There is a sparkle of hope that things will get better from now on. If you want to know how this incredible story ends, I warmly recommend you to see it. That will be a 9.2 movie.

As for something relaxing and funny I'll have to admit Killers is a very good weekend choice. The screen couple Ashton Kutcher - Katherine Heigl will make you relax and laugh for sure. Spencer and Jen meet in Nice while she was having a vacation with her parents trying to forget her exboyfriend. They fall in love and get married. After 3 happily marriage years (the magic number) things change the day Spencer is being chased to be killed. Being and ex-killer for the government there's a reward on his head and everyone he knows, like coworkers and neighbors, tries to kill him. That's the moment when Jen finds out the truth about him and things get more complicated when both of them become aware that they're gonna be parents. What a mess! A 6,5 movie for the entire family.

Soon with more details.
