Daily reasons to smile

There are always small but significant things that make our day bearable. Like those moments that put a smile upon our face.

Last evening I was getting to subway on my way home with a new classmate from the japanese course. We were talking about how great that lesson has been and at a certain point she asked me: "So, what grade are you in?" "Aaaaa ... You know, I'm no longer going to school. I've graduated college and all..." "Oh,...oh sorry... I..thought you were in highschool." "No problem" That was great. Can you imagine how great it feels when someone thinks you're much younger than you really are? She thought I was in highschool. Wow! So, last evening was a great one and I kept on smiling all the way home. Thank you D.

And the other day at the fitness club was pretty much fun (that depends on the context, because reading it might not be as fun as being there). I was running on the treadmill. There was this guy running on the treadmill next to me. It seemed to me he was getting tired (maybe it was his first time at a fitness club) but somehow he didn't give up. He was looking furtively at my display and then I figure it out he was seeing that as a competition, a sort of "who gives up first". So I kept on running myself, finding the situation pretty much amusing (not to imagine I'm a great runner myself, not at all, but I don't like to give up either :)). But when I need to stop, I do stop and so I did. He kept on running for 30 seconds more than me and then, satisfied, went to the stepper. I kept on fast indoor walking and picked from time to time in the mirror to see my "opponent": "Let me see you now Mr.!" And believe me it was fun to watch him strugle with that exercise machine because he was already tired.

Who knows what's going to happen today. Better be funny.
