Autumn light

Each season has its way, its beauty, its special something. Autumn doesn't make an exception. I have this article in mind from some time now and I thought writing it before I forget everything and fall fades away in favor of winter, gone with the wind. As you have noticed it before I'm terrible with photo taking so I'll try give it a shot with words.
For me, first sign of autumn is the change of light. By the middle of august, long before the first leaves turning yellow and the evenings getting colder, the morning light changes. Is not as bright as the week before, nor less warmer. Is just a warm yellowish light. It gives you a nice feeling and I always love to drink my weekend morning coffee outside, sitting on the bench and enjoying the soft rays of sun like a cat. I know it then when I see the shadows projection on the walls of my house that the summer has ended. They draw another pattern now, light playing differently with objects, its own way.
The rays of sun are more "stingy" in morning and evening, and absolutely generous at noon. Unfortunately at that time I'm working and freezing in my office. I can only see the warm light by my office window dreaming of a walk in the park, absorbing the heat through each pore.
There is also the evening light, the one inside your home. Have you noticed how light changes even in your homes as the seasons go by? Imagine one evening with friends. The light is on. You're talking next to a bookshelf, the cat is purring somewhere in that room. There's only laughter. Is nice being there, that moment precisely. This evening light is like a nicely wrapped present, the one in transparent plastic, just making you touch it and enjoying it like a child.
And then days become colder and is time for the fog to make its entry. Well "wrapped" in warmer clothes you take a walk and observe that the nature is still beauty: a red leaf fallen in the grass wearing some rain drops on it, making you think that is time for pumpkin pie, fresh wine, a flavored tea cup, a warmer blanket, holding the dear one closer at night and that somewhere on the corner there will be Christmas soon.
