Let's talk about films, baby!

Valentine day has always been a special day to me no matter my relationship status. I just love the idea of love and the happiness it brings to people. And also the color red, the warmth and vivacity it symbolizes. This year I've put on a red dress and accessories and I went to a movie marathon. It's been a while since I've last spoke about a film I've seen, and now I'm gonna tell you a story of five movies at once. From the 5 movies I've seen, only 3 managed to keep my interest (and keep me awake till 10 o'clock in the morning, because it was an all night marathon). Don't expect to be a list of best love movies ever. No, no, no. More like romantic comedies with a make over.

What I loved:
the last movie on the screen in order of appearance was Love and other drugs which I've thought it might be just a bit of a cliché, a bit too much sex centered. But it was a good movie after all. The classic story of a reckless boy (Jamie) who used to play with the pleasures of life, never falling for anyone (and there were plenty of anyone) who finally finds someone as reckless as he is. He feels instantly attracted by Maggie, and as expected by the viewers but not by the main character he falls for her. the real story begins after this point when real life problems occur. What do you do with the unpredictable? seems to be the main plot.(7.8 points)

The second on top is Life as we know it, casting Katherine Heigl and the gorgeous Josh Duhamel. That was a movie I was looking to see for a while. Predictable? Yes, definitely. But it was funny and comforting. It's the kind of movie you'd expect to watch on a Sunday evening with family, for the comfort of your soul, preparing your too tired self for another stressful week. The third one it will be the most expected movie of the year due to its cast: Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. You've already guessed I'm talking about The Tourist. Sincerely the plot wasn't eblouissant at all. It was pretty much a classical, predictable movie about: interpol chasing swindlers, swindlers chased also by mafia they swindled, a beautiful lady agent that falls for the swindler etc. You got the picture. The most impressive things were: the decor, Venice, Angelina Jolie and her incredible outfits (dresses, coats, shoes, hairstyle, make up), the powerful chemistry between two great names of the big screen. The rest is up to each viewer taste. (6.5 points)

The 4th movie I've been waiting to watch ever since it's appearance in December was Little Fockers. As most of the sequels are the concentration of its strength dissipates as we're moving forward. I'm not saying it wasn't a good movie. It keeps being funny and relaxing but it isn't as it was in the beginning (Meet the parents, 2000), you know what I mean? It worth seeing it though and I've laughed a bunch. (6 points)

What I disliked:
How do you know - a movie that sincerely already won in my humble opinion The Golden Raspberry. It was absolutely boring, like dragging the time with nonsense lines. I was just wondering why such good actors as Jack Nicholson and Reese Witherspoon are in this particular movie. I was trying very hard to find the reasoning for this movie's plot. For me it was nightmare watching it and waiting to its end without falling asleep and avoiding to be kicked put of the theater (main rule of the marathon was that if you fall asleep you have to leave the theater). You might think that I'm not able to watch a movie too soon, but I can' wait to watch the movies nominated for Oscar next weekend. See ya soon!
