It's good to be lazy on Labour day

This year was special. In Romania there's a custom among young people to go to the seaside on Labour day. I've never done that until this year. So we headed to Bulgaria, to Golden Sands for a long weekend in the sun. None of us predicted what was going to happen. I even was disappointed by the weather forecast that said it was going to be cloudy and chilly. By the time we got to the border the sun was up in the sky shinning with full power. That was a nice surprise and my disappointment began to fade. But the most interesting thing was that once at the passport control we realized we forgot some papers at home and we couldn't pass. But no one was pissed off because there were other 30 friends to come in the afternoon and we were going to have our papers lately that night. That meant we had some beautiful hours to spend on Vama Veche, the place with no rules and only free spirit. It was so relaxing to be there among all those people who had no concern except having fun. It's like a place stuck in time, somewhere in the 70s, a sort of small Woodstock on the beach, on the Black Sea shore, a place where you can listen music, drink beer and relax.

Few hours later we took our way to Bulgaria and by dinner time we got to the hotel. It was a blast the time spent there being quite a nice surprise for me. Swimming in the pool, staying in the sun, doing ... nothing but living life at your own pace. Lazy on labour day? Yes, and I might say it once again. It worth it! And I got a little tan myself (OK, it's much more like a little sunburn, but now I can try some skirts, because I don't have "vampire white" legs anymore).

Can't wait for the summer holiday!
