Labour day long weekend

I had a longer weekend due to 1st May Labour day. I must admit I needed to rest. I had plenty of time to read and relax, to actually see some movies (how I've missed that), and celebrate.

Apart from 1st May it also was my mother's birthday so we had a nice anniversary party the other day. The chocolate cake my grandma made was divine.

I cannot say that I've been traditionally sunbathing :-) because the weather was unfriendly, mostly rainy and cloudy. But I've been to cinema to -The Code – Thick as Thieves- with Morgan Freeman as Keith Ripley, Antonio Banderas as Gabriel Martin, and proudly to say Marcel Iures as Zykov. If you want to see an action movie it's OK, but is full of clichés and quite average.

Though one film that captured my interest was The Last Kiss, a movie that I've seen by chance one of these evenings on TV. It kept me focused for nearly 2 hours just to see how it ends. A sweet and sour story about love and commitment, about how different men are from women when it comes to be responsible, mature, commited, about people being scared of getting older and of knowing what will happen next in their lives like it was planned, about life and friendship. I liked it for being an honest movie because those things happen in real life no matter how much we hate to accept this idea.

I've also listened some music and especially Metallica and their latest album Death magnetic released in September 2008. I was surprised to find out that there is an Unforgiven III (I love it).

No I'm quite hungry so I see you soon.
