Unfortunately I have no pictures to illustrate the restaurant I've been to last evening. It was a blast the time spent with friends in a very nice medieval restaurant entitled Excalibur. I even tried to pull the sword from the rocks like many others before me (the sword was kind of twisted by many other attemps) and like the ancient knights. It was fun to think about the ancient french lessons on college about Chrétien de Troyes, Perceval and Lancelot. One interesting detail about this restaurant, apart the medieval decor (wooden chairs and tables, music, stone and brick walls, flags, swords, waitress in medieval gowns, etc.), was that the food was served on wooden plates and eaten by hand or with the knife (yes, of course for those who insist there can be brought forks on demand). For that matter there were big water and lemon bowls on each table to wash your fingers.
Chatting at the candle light, eating some nice meals with interesting names like For Milady with love made the evening. My evening was even nicer since before getting to the restaurant, I've been to a cosmetic product presentation and I got a free professional make up. It was unbelievably nice and relaxing. I'd like to have an evening like that from time to time. The only regret is that I haven't had my camera with me to get all this wonderful stories in pictures. But there will be a next time, I'm sure of it.
