Bucharest Days 2009

Between September 12Th and September 20Th 2009 Bucharest celebrates 550 years of existence. The events will take place in the historical center on Carada street, Constitution Square, parks Herastrau, Cismigiu, Youth and Carol, in Piata George Enescu. Also, the museums and theaters will keep their gates open (free entry).

September 17th - Bucharest Museum - symposium "550 years of documentary attestation of Bucharest"
September 18th - Park Herastrau, anniversary stamp collection 'Bucharest 550'
September 18th – subway crossing at the University, the Exhibition "The founders of the Roman rulers in the Capital Fortress of Bucharest
September 20th, 17:00 - Military Circle, Marble Hall - exhibition of paintings and auction
• 19th to September 20th - White Night in Bucharest 2009 - 12 museums open doors up to 3.00 a.m. (George Enescu Museum, National Art Museum of Romania, Museum of Geology, National Museum of History, Museum of Romanian Literature, Museum Bucharest, Museum of Art Vasile Grigore, Museum of Old Maps, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Old Court Palace, Astronomical Observatory, National Military Museum, The Arch of Triumph)

• You can also go in the nearest park to watch a theater play because 19th to September 20th Bucharest theaters will put on free performances:
