Last night the headline was Carlos Santana. But until 9.30 in the evening we have listened to: The MOOoD- the indie band from Bucharest. They sing pretty good, in english, the sound is OK, but the solist's voice is kind of awkward.
When the boys from Loop Troop Rockers, a hip hop regae band, begun to sing the rain started. Thank God we had our raincoats. So we danced in the rain.

Afterwards, the sun was back in the sky, even though in sunset, and we danced again on the music performed by The Ting Tings. They had such a playful music that was almost impossible not to dance.

When The Charlatans came on the stage we were already hungry so we went searching for a smaller queue to wait at. By the time the boys from The Charlatans end up their singing we were waiting impatiently in front of Rompetrol stage.

At 9.30 Santana was on the stage. The public (over 20.000 people) was delirious. He made me the impression of a very modest person but a very talented artist. It was probably the best concert of the year. Quality music, quality public.

"There are two things in this world: love and fear. And fear is too expensive. You can ask George Bush about that. But tonight we have a great music, great people and love." said Santana when talking to the public. At the end, after 2 hours and a half of great music and dancing, when Santana presented the band, I found out he has a son that performed along with him on the stage, the young Salvador Santana. One of the most known plays of Salvador is Summer's Day. He has a fresh music style, in between jazz and his father's style.
Bottom line: the concert was extraordinary and BESTFEST 2009 was a success again.
