Yesterday was even nicer. My friend came to my place paying me a visit (finally) and we had so much fun. In the afternoon I went to the mall to watch a film that was quite a disappointment. I saw the 3D movie called My Bloody Valentine. There were not much 3D effects, the film was more grouse than horror, the plot was predictable, lady's screams were lousy and I almost felt asleep while watching it. The only thing that kept me awake was my struggle to figure out where from I know the actor that played Axel Palmer's character – Kerr Smith. I now know that he used to appear in Dawson's Creek. Mystery solved. For all those happy memories I'll give it a 5.

Arriving late home last night I thought why not seeing another movie, as Street Kings, the latest film casting Keanu Reeves (who BTW looks great at 45 - oh those muscles!). An action movie with cops, a bit of corruption and lots of blood. Nothing new, just a plane story.

"Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him." (imdb)
Another disappointment. But at least made feel better than the other one. So I'll proudly give it a 7. I think I might watch it again.
My day end up nicely watching another episode from my favourite show Desperate Housewives and listening to some good music. For the last 3 weeks I'm listening proudly Only by the night, the latest album released by Kings of Leon. Why proudly? Because I'm so happy they wan the Grammy Award, Brit Award -winning fourth studio album, released worldwide in September 2008. Songs like Sex on Fire, Use Somebody, Revelry and Crawl are simply beautiful and I like the sound that's somehow retro.
