Concert, hippos and music again

Lots of events in the past days. I finished my driving lessons on Friday and now I'm learning for the exam. Wish me good luck! I hate bureaucrats but I'll survive. I'm more nervous about the driving test.

Meanwhile, last weekend I've been to a concert due to an unexpected invitation (Thanks again!) for 2. So I went to Smiley and friends concert at Sala Palatului on Friday afternoon. Who said Friday 13Th isn't a lucky day??? How cool is that to wake up in the morning not knowing that in the evening you'll have fun. It was a very nice surprise! Even though isn't my favourite musical style the show was fine, the music was good, and the dancers were better. But the funniest thing was the hippo in front of us. OK! Disambiguation: HIPPO = big guy, wearing a pink T-shirt, enjoying by the bottom of his heart the music. He was dancing on his chair all the time. At one point me and my friend bursted into laughs. He was so funny to be watched. I promise to post some photos soon.

What else? Coffee of course. I went to Costa Coffee with the same friend and enjoyed a yummy cup of coffee. Delicious!!! And I've finally got my diplomas from British Council. Yuppie! Like always I've listened industrial quantities of music (especially Snow Patrol and their latest album A Hundred Million Suns released at the end of 2008)and some movies. I'm still upset that U2 isn't coming to Bucharest this year but I'll listen on my Ipod their new album No line on the Horizon.

Talking about the movies. I was curious (don't remind me the story with the cat) to see Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona the film that won the supporting actress Oscar for Penelope Cruz's role as Maria Elena. I was disappointed by the movie. And I must confess I've been waiting patiently for Penelope to get into scene. I was surprised to notice that she won an Oscar for being part of the action only for 20 minutes or so in the end of it. This is not a movie for Oscar and that's for sure. So I'll give it a 6.5. (I was more happy seeing Alvin and the Chipmunks.)

I had some nice relaxing moments this weekend and my cats contributed at that by siting in my lap and sleeping peacefully. After all Friday 13 and the days after weren't that bad. ;-)
