This past weekend I kept myself busy. I was almost home alone for 1 1/2 day but I can't complain. My schedule was full. As the kitchen was free and just for me I thought whay not trying some cooking. Yap! So I found myself all alone in the kitchen with lots of possibilities to prepare a menu. As you already know I'm a novice in the kitchen but I love cooking. What have I cooked? A soup that was absolutely delicious and a cake with apples and caramel. Yam! It turned out that I managed to do both in an eatable kind of way and my lately returned family loved everything. Now, proud of myself, I barley wait to cook some more.
What about the movies? I promised to tell you about the movies I see. The last weekend I saw The Reader, a sad but excellent movie with Ralph Fiennes and Kate Winslet. The story, you probably know it already: a 15 year old boy falls in love with a twice his age lady who helped him when he was sick. Action takes place on 3 different plans: the present of the narrator 1995, the beginnings - 1940s Germany and a period of time between the 60s and the end of 80s. Anyway the scenes are touching, the situations the characters deal with are among the weirdest ones. Sincerely I found this movie better as a composition role for Kate Winslet than Revolutionary Road. But my question is "How proud can someone be to accept a guilt that is not his?" Also, as a feminist it was quite interesting to witness a story where an older woman has a younger lover and not the opposite as usual. Even though I'm almost convinced that there will be voices who will point the finger to the "immorality of that woman". Come on! Be serious. Who's thinking of immorality when a 60 year old male star or millionaire dates an 18 year old girl? But that's not the point here. So I warmly recommend this movie for your weekends with the loved one and I'll give it a 9.

And because the story is about keeping a secret I also like to associate this song with it:
