Today at work I had some meetings, emailing and phone calls and all of them and I mean all were rather strange. I felt like I was speaking mandarin and the others I don't know ... finish ?!?
I wrote a nice email to inform the author (one of the authors I work with) that the images he provided to me had a bad resolution, so my DTP colleague couldn't use them. So, we will change the pictures with another ones. I informed him not to be surprised when he'll see the final product and to have his agreement on that matter.
Answer: of course an acid one, patronizing and demanding immediate responses. I was in a meeting so I couldn't answer immediately at his email. So while I was out he called my boss complaining. It was so wonderful after I got out of that meeting to receive a phone from my boss and having a 'small talk'. Ups! he did it again.
The author was upset because he thought I was reproaching him the problems with the pictures. But I wasn't. I just don't simply understand how someone how pretends to be a specialist cannot understand such a simple thing.
I'm telling you: is something in the air today. People are confused and that's confusing me and the last drop of clear mind I still have today. I'm a patient person but today I'm aware of my limits.
I truly hope that will end till tomorrow.
